Schuh Anlagentechnik Constructs a Dust Extraction Plant for Roller Leveller in Slowenia

Hemer, June 2012

ANDRITZ Sundwig plans a roller leveller for steel plates of 7 mm up to 40 mm for the production of wear-resistant and high-strength steel at Acroni d.o.o. in Jesenice, Slovenia. In June, Schuh Anlagentechnik received the order for a dust extraction plant for this roller leveller.

For the second time, Schuh Anlagentechnik makes use of the integrated suction unit as combination of blowing with compressed air and dust extraction. This system has been used before at Thyssen Krupp Steel in Duisburg.

The loose scale is raised via compressed air and exhausted via a volume flow rate of 24.000 m³/h. Process air and scale dust are separated via a pulse jet sleeve filter. The pulse jet sleeve filter includes a scrapping device which allows the operation at low ceiling heights.

The Pure filter allows in a second filter stage a very high purification degree, so that the cleaned air can be led back into the production process.

The delivery of the dust extraction plant is plant for the first quarter of 2013.
