As part of a major capacity expansion at its site in Şehitkamil/Gaziantep, Gülsan has chosen the advanced separation and filtration technology from Schuh Anlagentechnik GmbH. The innovative system combines highly efficient material separation with reliable exhaust air purification, making a significant contribution to sustainable and high-performance production.
Technology in Focus: Customized Solutions for Maximum Efficiency
The trim removal system from Schuh Anlagentechnik is a central solution for separating edge trims from PE and PP films, followed by material separation and exhaust air cleaning using a Schuh pulse-jet bag filter.
The scope of supply includes the engineering, delivery, and integration of all mechanical components required for the separation and filtration system. Continuous edge trims generated during trimming are captured and conveyed to the Schuh material separator of the Y series. The system handles material speeds of up to 500 m/min and edge trim widths of up to 75 mm.
After separating conveying air and material in the separator, the dust-laden exhaust air is cleaned in the Schuh Pulse-Jet Sleeve Filter. The separated material is then transferred to a plastics regranulation system for further processing and reuse.
Project Timeline and Scope of Supply
The project includes detailed engineering, manufacturing, delivery, and logistics. Delivery is scheduled for November 2024, with commissioning and production start planned for the first quarter of 2025.
