Neuss, June 2026 – As part of a project-related partnership with Speira GmbH, Schuh Anlagentechnik is realizing a modern emulsion mist extraction system for the hot rolling mill in Neuss. The fume extraction system is compliant with official German environmental requirements (TA Luft), energy-efficient and future-proof – underlining the joint commitment of both companies to sustainability and legally compliant emission reduction.

Modern Fume Extraction for Emulsion Mist: Technical Highlights

The new extraction system has been developed specifically for the extraction of emulsion mist in the hot rolling mill and meets the highest standards of air cleanliness and occupational safety:

Optimization of the capture efficiency of the existing suction hoods through the integration of Schuh swirl tubes
Modular design with the Schuh KT mist eliminator – more information on our smoke extraction technology
Forward-looking filter technology: multi-stage filter system with the option of adding a fifth filter stage for maximum separation of emulsion mist
Recirculating air operation with the option of later exhaust air discharge to the outside, taking future environmental requirements into account today
Noise protection for a low-noise working environment
Maintenance-friendly design with differential pressure measurement for timely maintenance indications

The system is delivered as a turnkey solution – including assembly, commissioning, and personnel training.
